In a conflict with the government, the playing field is not level at all. Knowledge of the legal rules that direct and guide the government becomes hugely important. We have an independent advisory and litigation practice that focuses on government. If criminal law specialists are also needed, they are called in to work closely with us.
The emphasis is on general administrative law, supervision and enforcement (including remedial sanctions and administrative fines), and environmental law. We also focus on government liability law (i.e. lawful and unlawful government acts and environmental liability), social benefits and healthcare law. We also advise on entering into or ending agreements with the government (including PPPs and project development). Our clients are from both the public sector and the private sector.
